My super worms have been doing great except all of a sudden i think they are getting to cold for some reason. I have never had this issue before. But they are all raising to the top and then seeming to into stasis. They are rather young, not fat enough to pupate in my opinion, and most of them arent curled like they would be for molting. I have a heat mat under them, several inches of substrate, and the room temp never drops below 65-69. The enclosure temp often sits between 70-82. They has cocofiber as substrate and cork bark and moss as climbing material etc. I have regular beetle pupation (have no idea if i have younger supers in this container but im currently moving beetles into seperate containers for a month long span in hopes to get some young worms. Any advice? Also would love advice for breeding.

i once put a few i planned to feed of into a box with coco chips and some rough jute-fabric on top.

they dont seem to like living on or in oatmeal and i wanted to induce pupating by removing any food anyway.

I fed off most of them but a few turned into beetles before i did so, which i fed off too

when it was finally empty i dumped the used coco chips into my roach colony

somehow they seem to have layed eggs into the coco chips prior to beeing fed off and are now a permanent part of my roach colony despite my best efforts to get rid of them

if you want to breed them i would reccomend moving away from the common method of raising them on frass and oats and rather offering a bedding of coco chips, or earth and leaf litter with some piles of bark (not cork bark) or stacks of jute fabric to pupate in

they love mango or avocado seeds, vegetable scraps and ofc. oats but i would try to keep things clean by only feeding amounts they can clean up completely overnight, every 4-7 days

the seeds can stay longer as long as they don't mold or rot

perhaps not the most efficient method but it means you dont have to do any maintenance exept feed them as it stays clean on its own
