Hello everyone
I saw a seller in the UK were selling these enclosures... They had a 20x20x30 that they were selling for arboreals, and said they were perfect for airflow and ventilation. Think they even stated they were the first choice in keepers across Europe. I just checked their website and I guess they've sold out as not on the list now. I googled them, and sure enough it came up that an Arachnoboards user posted the pics below about a year ago (no comments from anyone as far as I can see though). Just wondered what ya'll thought of them? I've looked at many of your set ups for arboreals and not seen one quite like this. They're made of glass, and have a guillotine opening front door. No way of opening the top. I always read from you guys that mesh is bad... while it's not the same mesh you find on exo terra enclosures, I think it's metal but in a thicker metal mesh strip if that makes sense?! Interested to know if anyone else has one?
Thanks in advance!

I have one of those, but the terrestrial large one. If you are looking for a easy to care and cleaning enclosure and with a very good ventilation go for it.

You can modify the front guillotine door to be sliding style or hinge and magnetig latch style. Also you can make your own one too, I did one of mine, since I broke one during a home move.

This is mine:

Which species is going to be inside?

Hi Dorifto
Good to know someone else has one! I really like the look of them and it's hard to get the acrylic boxes that people use so much over here. So you approve of the ventilation? I have a small juvie c.versicolour that I would like to upgrade to that enclosure....
I love your enclosures! Not experienced or confident enough to make one myself, but there's plenty of time for that! Thanks for the info

Thanks!!! 😉👌🏼if someday you feel confident you have the tutorian in the vivarium thread: https://arachnoboards.com/threads/foam-background-enclosure-tutorial.331925/
It was more easy than it looks!!

Coming back to the enclosure, the ventilation is one of the best, if not the best among the glass enclosures. And if for some reason you feel that you need more ventilation, you can attach a pc fan on top of the grill, like I did.

I don't like acrylic since they scratch pretty easy, so every time you try to clean something you are scratching it even more and over time they look translucent.

Oh thanks for the link! I'll take a look later.
Re acrylic I've heard they scratch easily. I can never find any that look as nice as that, and then I came across these glass ones. I keep all my terrestrials in either critter keepers or plastic storage boxes. I wanted to put my c.versi in something a bit more special though since I can go to town with the decorations!!

Acrylics do scratch easily compared to glass

Make your own!! They are pretty easy and cheap to build! Talk to your neares glazier and ask for some glass panels, they will cut you to exact sizes for pretty cheap.

This is my blueprint, but you can modify it to suit your needs. If you want sliding doors, hinge type or guillotine, you only have to modify some panels, depending on the style.

Sliding doors are best I think, thanks for the design.

You are welcome! That's the generic design they use to make euro style enclosures. You can change whatever size you want but respecting the decimals. Eg: if you want a 40x40x40 LxWxH enclosure using a 4mm glass panels:

The bottom one will be 39'2x39'6 LxW
Back panel 39'6x40 HxL
Side panels 39'6x39'6 WxH
Top ones 40x16 LxW
Rails 39'2x3, 4x3 and 39'2x6 LxH

The *'6 means that that panels ovelaps with another glass panel. The *'2 that overlaps with two panels.

And if you want a 30x30x40 LxWxH (arboreal)

The bottom one will be 29'2x39'6 WxH
Back panel 40x29'6 HxL
Side panels 29'6x39'6 WxH
Top ones 30x16 LxW
Rails 29'2x3, 2x 4x3 and 29'2x6 LxH

Edited: corrected some measures, I believe that now are correct 😂😂😂
