I don't have any corn snakes right now but for my ball python, hog nosed snake, and gopher snake I use pelleted aspen. for my rosy boa I use calci-sand.

I've used aspen shavings, cypress mulch, and newspaper, all worked well for me. I currently use aspen mulch, as cypress mulch isn't as readily available in the west as it is in the east (the only other available option here is cedar mulch...a big no-no). Also, aspen mulch is much more cost-effective when keeping multiple snakes. It all boils to personal preference and what works best for you.
