This is really a dumb question but im bored and i have been wonderng all day since i looked in the forum on the stuff about solfugids and how they can take down prey so much bigger then they are. What would happen if you put a small hopper in a cage with a egyptian banded solfugid? Would the solfugid be able to handle a hopper?

Solifugid Prey

Large solifugids, such as Galeodes arabs, Galeodes caspius, and Galeodes granti have no problem taking down small mammals such as mice, as in the wild they also take down small snakes and birds. In captivity, though, it is best to feed large specimens nothing larger than pinkie/fuzzy mice or small lizards.

There are several large species of solifugid, from the families Galeodidae, Solpugidae, Daesiidae, and Rhagodidae, that are capable of taking down vertebrates.
