Hello everyone, i am posting for the first time. I recently acquired my first Poecilotheria, a Regalis juvenile about 5cm body length from a local breeder. She is pretty stressed since the moving, and she covered her hide all around, blocking herself from the outside world with earth and moss but no webbing. Is this a stress response or is she getting ready to moult? I am posting pictures of her enclosure (its a temporary set up, shell have soon a terrarium which will be her forever home). Thank you in advance for any insight!

Totally fine. Making her house a home. She will make herself feel more comfortable. No need to interrupt with human preferences haha :)

I always take it as a compliment to the chef when they start setting up shop right away. It probably means you have a healthy T that feels safe enough to have their own interior decorating preferences. 😂

yep, thats the opposite of stress, if they are working they are happy

just don't bother her too much in your excitement

nice to see a fellow plant enthusiast

perfect, I was sure she was stressed! Yes is hard to leave her alone when you really wanna look at her doing absolutely nothing, but i have been able to resist so far 😂

Even the position of the tarantula is lovely. Its not on the ground, in a corner somewhere in fetus position.

its a great start.

don’t transfer it in a too big enclosure yet. Its getting adjusted to this one and its quite right for now.

Yes, I will wait till she has molted maybe twice and than move her to the terrarium :)

Juvenile/ Spiderling Pokeys tend to behave Terrestrial-like and Arboreal.
Yours seems beyond that stage however.
Beautiful Specimen
Keep Up the good work, Best Wishes to You and Yours,
