Strange color morph pigeon?

So, this odd looking pigeon showed up outside my bakery yesterday and has been loitering there since. Its a bit bigger than yr normal pigeon, and if a rusty orange colour, with a ruby red shimmer around the neck. Almost every customer stops to look at it.....

might be a roller, somebodys wayward racer, my friend has these morphs and other "pastell" colors

Oh yeah, duh:wall: I left that out, if it does and you can catch it you should be able to locate the owner.

I've seen these before in Chicago. A couple of populations downtown had some of these cinnamon color morphs. I've only ever seen them there, but there were 10-15 around.

Beautiful birds, though.

I love pigeons!
My brother and I used to keep homers when we were kids.
It's not unlikely that a free range captive would breed with a wild bird.
The parents share responsibility, so the pet animal would probably disappear for awhile ... still a possibility.
