New animal species...actually, I don't even know. The closest I could come is land jellyfish...very interesting.

Hi,

Location is in Slovenia. I found it in the forest under the bark. Size is around 1 cm. Looks like a snail but it is not an insect either.

Check out Microdon, a genus of flies that have larvae that often inhabit ant nests.

Fungi of some sort?
I highly doubt it's fungi. Those formations on the underside look like legs and there is also this appendix on top that could carry some sensory organs.

I think I remember teacher talking about this in biology class, but I'm not sure. Maybe find a biology teacher nearby and ask?

myrmecophile is right, look at the information below the picture. Diptera, Syrphidae, Microdon.

Looks like an undercooked macaroon. The bulbous thing must be the abdomen?

Looks kind of like an Abalone and kind of like a Limpet. I actually thought it was either of the two, then I read that it was found in a forest.

Also, on the left side of the picture, the two tube-like extensions look an awful lot like the breathing tubes that I've seen before on fly pupae and maggots, which underlines the ID on the page in the link.

My vote is it's a kanom. A Thai confection made of rice and sugar. Or it is emulating one to attract small children. It will then reveal itself to be a small children eating alien.

First thought fungi, if an animal, perhaps a caterpillar, there are some caterpillars odder than this!
