so when i used to work at this pet store, i bought a pinkie mouse (the only black one in the bunch) and was going to feed it to my pac man frog, well i didnt have the heart so i returned it to its mother and she grew up. while i worked there i trained it to live in my breast pocket and she would stay there for my entire shift, occasionally popping out to say hi to customers, i named her Stinky. this was about 6 months ago and at the point where she was just starting to really grow i was fired and left on bad terms, and i didnt know what would happen to my Stinky mouse:( . Today i went in for the first time cause i desperately needed crickets and my mouse was still there, she remembered me and went right to sleep in my pocket, and i walked all the way home with me and lives in my room now. I love my stinky mouse. Im just really happy to have her back{D {D .
Anyone else ever had an animal that eats mice and got attached to a pinkie and made it thier pet or am i just a crazy softie. I'll try to post some pics when she wakes up

i'm not allowed to get attached to feeders.
I still feel a twinge of guilt whenever I feed a pinky or fuzzy, though. Or a young rat... I love the small and furries too much, I guess. But I'm not allowed to keep them as pets while I still live at home, so getting attached is out of the question.
That's cute that you've got your little one trained and all, and that she still remembers you.

several years ago I had a Nile monitor that was also eating fuzzy's . I bought one to feed him but he wasn't interested in it .So after about 12 hours I took it out and desided to keep it because I couldn't bring it back to the mother (forget why) .My sister in law and i desided to try and save it buy feeding it with an eye dropper . Had her for a few years and let her breed , I let her keep one of the babies to raise and she used to clean it so after that she actually licked all the hair off the baby , Was pretty funny seeing this little baby rat running around bald as a cue ball with only a little hair on the top of its head .

she even had the lighting bolt as a pinkie, she hasnt changed colors from birth at all, i havnt fed pinkies ever since cause i just think of her and how good a pet she is, all mice have that potential, and thats why i dont support feeding any animal mice as long as it can be sustained on crickets/roaches. if you must feed mice, feed frozen, then you never get attached.
