I recently bought a springtail culture and it’s a little bit thinner than I expected it to be. I don’t have any yeast on hand just yet, I do have rice, but it’ll take a bit to mold. I also have some Repashy bug burger, will that work as an interim supplement for them in the meantime? Thanks.

Any moist organic matter is pretty much what they will eat.
Edit: Use a lot less than you think they can eat in a day or 2. If they don't eat all of it, you risk bacteria. Judge how fast they eat a tiny bit. Then go from there.

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, it appears this culture was crashed before I got a hold of it. I made the mistake of buying it from my local Petco, but now I’m going to have to wait until temperatures cool before I have anything shipped here.

Update: It turns out the culture didn’t crash after all. I popped open the container just a while ago out of curiosity and it was swarming with springtails munching on bug burger and it’s nearly gone. So I guess that answers my question!
