Hi,

I have a well ya know just a mixed breed cat. I woke up this morning and found that he was limping around. On closer examination I found that his paw was sprained (it is not broken because you can move it and he moves it, also you can feel all the bone in it) I don't have a lot of money and if it really is more serious than I beleive it to be I'll take him to the vet, but I would like not to. I wrapped his paw up with ace bandage like you would for a human and am forcing him to stay inside until it gets better. I was just wondering if anyone else had any Ideas about how to take care of a cat with a sprained paw.

Thanks lots.

Take it to the vets! Just coz he is moving it and you cant feel a break dont mean it aint broken. He coulda broken some of the small bones in the foot itself. I dont have a lot of money either but just found my cat has thyroid and other stuff. He cost me £200 which is about $350. Price you pay when you have animals.
Hope ur cat is ok soon.
