Spiny orb weaver

We've had a spiny orb weaver and it's web outside of our Lanai and it's been there for about a month it was there yesterday but I came out today in the whole things completely gone with no web no traces except for its eggs what could have happened to it nobody was here to destroy it or take it down

Could have been eaten by something like a bird or something could have flown through the web.

Strange thing is there is no absolutely no spider web pieces around to even indicate there was a spider there it's like it's all gone like it never existed 100% clean it's really weird and it was a big web

Recycled the proteins. It ate the web. Numerous species of orb weavers eat the web at dawn and make a new one each evening. After laying eggs they can switch modes to simple survival. Eat the web then go off and eventually restart - or die. Some also leave a web glop in the center of a new web. Once the orbs are complete that glop is a pre bug catching snack.

The web was always up there all day long and it was still there in the morning but I do believe it could be eating its web and gone off somewhere else
