My boyfriend brought home a caterpillar, and it pupated. So obviously it's been pretty basic to care. It emerged a few days ago and I ID'd it as a S. virginica. It's in my planted 12x12x18 exoterra right now with my adult Mourning Gecko. The tank is planted with Nephrolepsis Cordifolia and Chlorophytum comosum, neither of which I think it'll eat.
What's my best case scenario for a lifespan with this little dude? I haven't found anything other than two weeks to two months while trying to do some searching, and that seems to just be a vague answer on elementary school moth lifecycle charts. =(
I'm going to go try to find it some clovers later today, but our snow just finished melting yesterday and we just got another 6 inches today... and it's still coming.
I'm going to put the moth in resin and make a pin out of it when it does die, I just don't want that to be now.
