spider waste

do spiders past waste..ive always wondered how it looks like.. they do have an anus i know but ive never seen thier waste b4..anyone??

Yep, spiders pass waste. It can vary in consistency and coloration among the different species. In most tarantulas, it's excreted in the form of a gray liquid that quickly dries and hardens into an odorless, chalky substance. You may own a tarantula for quite a while before you notice any of it's fecal matter.

As tim said, they do pass waste. It can range from tiny grey-white dots to to runny Colgate colored poo. :)

That's not true!
But the fecal matter of spiders consists mostly of guanine, adenine, hypoxanthine and uric acid.
These substances tend to cristalize and that gives the spider-poo its white and chalky appearance!

hmm..cool..that explains the chalky patch on the side of the cage of my pinktoe..cool..thanks guys..was always just bein curious
