[spider] New buddy arriving home and i took this photo

From my extensive research (Google), it appears to be some species of comb-footed twig spider - Ariamnes colubrines or similar species. Seems like they're from Australia mostly, and they can move that long abdomen around to mimic twigs... Crazy looking things!

Amazing! I've tried Google, but I didn't know what to look up. LOL! Spider-like-thing-with-long-green-body didn't work. :rolleyes: :lol:

It took a few attempts - I tried hook-shaped spider, sickle-shaped spider, long, skinny spider... Finally found something when I just looked up "uniquely shaped spiders". LOL. :D And it certainly fits that it would be from down under!

I think I used just about every term except the ones you used lol. Even tried image search without success.

We have a similar sp in US Rhomphaea fictilium
Cool green Ariamnes flagellum
