I found this spider on my ceiling, I live in America my state is West Virginia. It is a light yellowish brown, but looked dark brown when it was far away. It's pretty small, and when disturbed attempted to drop down to hide. It is very good at gripping and preferred to stay upside down on the ceiling or a glass.

This is the bottom

this is the side

I am not good at using this forum yet I'm still figuring it out sorry if it looks weird.

Oh and I have it next to a dime so you can see the size D33159DF-6FE9-4330-AE40-F6D8BA996D72.jpeg

Thank you

Do you think it would be a problem if I just released it back into my house? It doesn't really bother me and it has a little web near a lightbulb.

No it should be fine but I would worry it might not find enough to eat. I find these frequently at night wandering around on bushes, fences, and trees. They are very active hunters

We find lots of fruit flys and mosquitos flying around my house, and I've seen this spider a couple months ago so it must be catching something. Do think it would prefer to be outside though? It is not a problem to relocate it to a bush or tree.

I would put it outside but that’s just me, if it’s finding food tho then no harm in keeping it indoors :)
