I think it is some sort of Wolf Spider but not sure. Found him floating in my pool so I put him in a FF container and threw in some flies. He is unbelievably fast.

btw he killed ALL the flies immediately and mashed them all into some sort of FF ball and is carrying it around under his carapace. Why did he do that? :? Its a pretty big ball too.

Any info is welcome :D

Cheers,
Ryan

It hasnt made a web so i dont think its a aeglenopsis, but hey i might be wrong and the sneaky bugger may be making one right now. I was looking around and i think it might be Hogna Lenta. Lenta is the only wolf spider species i saw that had the white dots on the abdomen and close to same colors. Another note that makes me think its not a Pisaurina is the patterning/colors are off and this spider couldnt swim. He more or less flailed around.

If any1 can confirm its Hogna Lenta, do you have any info on or about it?

hmmm, i had a lenta, and mine didn't look like yours, so i don't think it's one. i always could be wrong, as a lot of them vary in color, but it doesn't appear to be a lenta to me...
