Spider ID, wolf spider?

Would love to know the species of this spider. My limited knowledge would say wolf spider, and male because of the boxing glove look to the arms in the front. I tried throwing a small cricket in with no back legs but it just ran, probably more worried about being trapped. I wouldn't mind knowing the age and max size along with husbandry. Thank you all!!

Oh yeah I see those male boxing gloves pedipalps there, but a little too dark for me to be able to identify

Following this. Not sure where you are, but I'm in the Bay Area, California, and I find these exact bleepers around my house ALL the time

I may be wrong about it being a wolf spider it was making a web in its box, they typically don't do that right? He's also probably like less than one inch, does that help identify
