My nephew sent me this picture taken with his cell phone. He lives next door to Wawayanda State Park in NJ, He says, " its one species of spider and some of them are over an inch. The web is not like an 0rb Weaver but kind of like a house spider and made in a corner like a House Spider. These spiders are eating everything from dragonflies to large moths."

I'm thinking he called it with House Spider, but I'm not good at IDing them, and I 'd like to be sure.

Thank you,

That looks like a Larinioides cornutus to me.
