My son found a spider in his room about 6 months ago. It was hungry and it's back side looked like a brown shriveled raisin.
I have no idea what kind of spider she is. I know she isn't a wolf spider and she's not a brown recluse. We have been taking care of her for about 6 months.
To give her water I wet down a cotton ball and place it in her cage. She has decided to string up this cotton ball to a twig in her enclosure and just hangs out on it.
I was wondering if she thinks it's her babies?
It's so bizarre. I know very little about spiders I just got brave enough the past couple of years to handle jumping spiders. These little guys are so fascinating now that I'm not scared of them anymore.
Here she is! We call her buddy. My son thought she was a boy.
