I was wondering if this was the hairy desert scorpion. I caught it yesterday.

Looks like a female H. arizonensis based on body structure. You'll need sand / excavator clay for proper keeping. Now my next question, am I correct that it's a female? I am being careful with it. We might keep her but first we need a bigger enclosure.
That is amazing! You could litteraly become your friendly neighborhood vegan parasite control. I would love to do that.Actually my downstairs neighbor texted me saying there was a scorpion by her storage door, I'm glad she did and didn't kill it. She told me from now on she's going to text me or hubby to come get any critters lol
hitting animals has always been a sport. I think it is a state of mind. When i analyze everything around me, if i can avoid hitting a living being i will. This is very true. A few months back someone hit a mourning Dove in front of my husband, he was almost crying. People don't give a crap. They purposely hit that bird and my husband watched it. So sad.
We need to remove ourselves from these equations.Yes I agree. They view animals as objects not a living being and that makes me upset.
It is an interesting approach. Many of us take insects and arachnids we find indoors to the outdoors.I never understood people who dislike animals, especially extinct ones. I like the Buddhist method of dealing with insects, people will carry brooms with them to sweep any insects from their path so that they do not step on them.
