i have a wee enclosure set up in my room with some soil, leaf litter, branches etc from in my garden, and its got its own wee ecosystem going on, but i was surprised today to see there was some sort of fly in there,, looking into it i think its some sort of hoverfly? although i could find no exact matches from the brief look i did. i managed to catch these photos of it before (sadly) the cellar spider inhabiting the enclosure got a hold of it. any ideas? i always love to know more about the bugs living around my house so i know what interesting things to keep an eye out for!
