Love my blood. Jynx was a recuse of epic proportions. Intrstinal Stones, eye caps as old as he was, scale rot, malnutrition, muscle disease due to undersized enclosure, lung infections out the ass.. literally... high stress cause he was level with the 3 dogs who lived there and stared into his tank all day. Fed large mice at 5ft, 12 lbs. Should be rabbits or something at that point. Ate once a month if that. And a lot more. Spent a lot on vet Bill's, many needles administered. Now, hes amazing. Most gentle snake I've ever had. He WILL change your opinion on the aggression of bloods. Hes incredible. What a beauty. Love him so much. :) he gets to roam free from time to time. Like to climb oddly enough. Never strikes at my cats, isnt phased by my dog. Just a total chill snake. Unlike any snake I've met or kept. One of a kind. :)

I recently moved. Lost my other phone too. Had pics of him climbing stairs and roaming the whole house, climbing banisters and shelves.. What a guy, 3 years with me and hes a champ. Would never part with him. I'll have him till he passes. Although I feel that wont be long. Hes had some extreme health issues from his previous keepers that will eventually catch up to him. Appreciate your animals people. Each one is unique. Expect insects and arachnids. They're instinctual the same. But still cool. :) cheers!

Rescue animals can be very rewarding. Both of the dogs I’ve had as an adult were rescues. I know dogs get what’s happened, and I think reptiles are not as unaware as we might think.

The first blood and short tail pythons were brought to the US for the leather industry. The wild caught animals that became pets were part of those shipments. Captive bred animals make really gentle pets for the most part.

Awesome story, it's always awesome to hear stuff like this. And I'd even venture to say that each insect and arachnid and every other invertebrate are unique in their own way, even if they are instinctual.
@Drea, are you seeing this? Right up your alley!
