Something wrong with my hamster?

I think something might be wrong with my hamster. Just over the past 2-3 days, my hamster has been weirdly shaking/flittering/scratching all over. It's also been 'rolling' around in her pee/poo area, which is disgusting. If you ask me, it definitely does not look like normal hamster behaviour.

I mean, almost every 5 seconds she keeps doing the same actions - scratching/shaking/flittering...its although she's going through some sort of seizure.

Anybody have a clue as to whats going on?

I didn't bother touching her or taking her out of her cage as she may contain a deadly fatal human killing disease. Jk.

Lice? Mange? sounds like it has some sort of horrible skin irritation.

If she is in pine or cedar bedding get her off it immediately even if you have to use shredded newspaper instead. If you don't see a change in a week you may have to treat her for mites.

if it's mites, the bath will make it worse. switch her off the bedding first, and if she's really gross you can use a damp towel to get the worst of the mess off. if changing the bedding doesn't help, you should probably take her to a vet. is her diet ok? and does she have fresh clean water to drink? good luck.

She's always been on aspen bedding.

How should I give her a bath? Soak her in water, right? (kidding)

Aspen is a good bedding with no aromatic oils. You should be able to find a good miticide at your local pet shop. Be careful with it, it will also kill any bugs or insects you might want to keep around.

A hamster bath consists of spraying the hamster with a product called Shower Bath made by Hagen, which kills fleas. I did not mean the conventional human bath with water.

clean and change the entier ineclouser asap then boil everything to sanatize it in a light (very light) bleach water bath. Do your best to clean her off and liik for fleas and mites. if thats the issue olive oild works well in helping to remove them but use it sparing ly. or use a store bought remover. if thats not solvign it then see the vet asap. it could be cancer.
