Well, maybe "out of the ordinary" for me as ball pythons are quite common but I wanted a snake, which I can interact with on another level*. (* without fear of imminent death :) )

So here is my "champagne fire" girl:

She is so white, she looks like super fire than champagne fire but who the hell cares, she is gorgeous.

These are just quick cell phone pictures from the parking lot, better pictures and videos will follow...

She's beautiful, I do wish they had amphetamines for snakes as most ball pythons are beautiful, but kind of seem a bit... like a pet rock?

Well I keep Death Adders so I am used to the pet rock phenomenon. In fact, Acanthophis are like pet foliage, you cannot even differentiate them from their surroundings most of the time if their cage is properly naturalistic. Ball Pythons are all fun and games compared to Death Adders :).

Ive seen very friendly ball pythons that love to be handled, it depends on the individual, really. Ive also seen outright murderous specimens that strike and hiss readily.

They're curious snakes IMO, but it IS their natural instinct to hole up in a dark spot and wait, like most snakes.

If you want activity in a pet, pythons shouldn't be on your list. Try a king cobra. Be sure to give it several acres to play and hunt in.

First feeding is the hardest:

She was only fed live before I got her so she obviously rejected my first attempt with frozen/thawed a few days ago. Today I waited until dark, warmed up the adult mouse really good and she went for it. I tried a second one afterwards but she wasn't very interested. Anyway, I consider this a victory ;).

She ate two mice today in broad daylight. I love heat sensing snakes, they are so easy to convert.

Great name. Throughout the Latin influenced Mediterranean region that word is used for all sorts of edible things that are white-ish and mellow. Cream, custard, even some yoghurts and many confections.

Now, I have 5 snakes for a 5 snake rack, unless I sell some, I am done with ball pythons. Too bad I didnt manage to get a banana combo.
