Some type of separation from the abdomen and carapace?

This is my gbb currently it looks like there is some type of separation from the abdomen and carapace is eating an drinking but I'm concerned any body seen this or can help id appreciate it

Ok so it's normal he's just skinny ish making it look more pronounced then

Yes the pedicel is a normal anatomical feature! Nothing to worry about at all !

Fun fact, pedicel flexibility is used in some web weavers to aid in accurately attaching web lines. A pretty sophisticated neurological and neuromuscular operation. Almost amazingly, some plants utilize a very similar function, flowers turning towards sunlight or in folding leaves at certain times.
