Thanks Stefan,

I'm not a collector myself but any spider pictures are much appreciated, particularly of the hunting Araneomorphs as they are my favourite spiders.

We have a few interesting Lycosids in Australia; my favourites being those found in the arid parts of the country; such as L foressti and L storri etc. It's a bit of a pity that we don't have any spectacular Ctenids, at least as far as I'm aware.

Anyway, keep the 'pics' coming!

Hi,

thanks for the appreciation!

While i´m not too deep into Lycosid´s, i take them for excellent foto-subjects, those big, bad eyes are just a real "eye-catcher" :D

Aussie-Lycosids? I know of at least one species, that i find quite beautiful: Lycosa godefroyi (spelling?). Quite a pity, that australian true spiders are unavailable in europe.

Next to the mentioned Lycosa i´d be very interested in some of your Deinopis as well, not to forget your several beautiful huntsman spider species.... :worship:

Greetings,

Stefan

Let's not go there shall we?;)

Your spelling was close; it's L godeffroyi but I had to look it up.

Cheers.

Hi Techuser,

very interesting to me, thanks for that post!

May i inquire if your specimen is a female? We got a bunch of wolfes, apparently of different species, mostly females.

One male was within the shipment, the pictured black-white coloured specimen. Now we can´t know, if it´s a male of one of the species which we got females from, too, or if it´s a complete different species.

Whatever it is, very nice looking for sure!

Greetings,

Stefan

Hi Stefan,
Would you tell me how they were packed? I have had bad luck when shipping Lycosa and Dolomedes even here in my country.
