I'm in a bit of a celebratory mood today (due to my little avic surviving) so I just thought I'd put up some more pics of my arachnid pets
My favourite slings, P. irminia, (probably more juvies now that they're just over 2 in). One is noticeably bigger than the other and has more adult colours, (i.e. no orange boots anymore), even though they're the same age so I'm starting to wonder if they're a M/F pair.
Here's the smaller sling
And the larger one
They also look a bit different ventrally with the second pair of book lungs closer together in the larger sling. Here are some ventral shots, (not great ones I know), with the small sling on top in case someone wants to take a guess at the sex.
My Avicularia sp. avicularia male 'George'. He's webbed himself in for the last two weeks and I'm hoping for a moult soon.
One of my Peru Purple slings.
And finally, Sebastian, my Heterometrus petersii scorpion. He was my very first arachnid pet and I still love him to bits
