I think it is related to my lack of a death grip around the lizard's neck 
. This is a WC adult, but if lifted from below and not grabbed from above they're typically not to bad. Though the next pic of the lizard on the wall is the downside to not restraining a WC tokay. It took about an hour to get that one back in a cage.
