Because, does this female:

Looks like the same color as the dark female as? I´ll keep the lighter female in lighter substrat and the dark female in dark substrat and damper..

Interesting...

I've never heard of tarantulas adapting a camoflauge like that. I assumed that the black one may have just recently molted. Have you tried switching the substrate and seeing what happens?

Are there any other species that you've noticed this with?

No i haven´t tried because i sold the other lighter female..

But i only know that some chilobrachys change tho color, too..

I don´t want to seperate them but if they feed themself i will seperate them..

You can call Ex. Recife or Recife.. that´s unimportent.. Ex means it come´s from "Recife
