A little ray of sunshine through the thunderstorm that has been surrounding my Ts lately!

The first - My new P. pulcher sling molted! Annnd I was able to pull the molt while it was still pliable and un-crumple it lol He or she is still too small to sex, but it's nice to have the molt all unfolded!

And the second... drum roll please...

My G. rosea, Ituri, ATE for the first time in near or a little over a YEAR!

She was in premolt for almost a year, molted in July... and FINALLY accepted a cricket tonight!

I know, I know.. I FAIL at molt pics. But the P. pulcher is NOT cooperating. Whoever said they are arboreal LIED lol. I set up his enclosure like I do the Avics (with the lid on the bottom full of dirt)... and he burrowed into it! In the corner! So I can't get any decent pics of him :(

Once he hardens up, I'll bug him to come out so I can get pics :D

You aren't the only one with a broken arboreal.
My A.avic burrows. Granted, only a little, he's terrible at it, and only at bottom of his vertical hide. Maybe he isn't burrowing so much as declaring his contempt for substrate. Weird.

Actually, Psalmos tend to be burrowers until about the 3" - 4" mark....that's when the fun begins!!! :D

None of my P. cambridgeis are burrowing. One of them will run under the moss if spooked, but they do the arboreal thing lol and they are only 1"

They just like makin' a fool of me LOL

Hey Jairi my P. irminia has taken to arboreal.. :D ;)

But sadly one of my P. regalis slings is liking the substrate more than the other 2 are...

Congrats on the molt and the feeding.. Now I just gotta convince Willow to snag a cricket.. I think it might be a year or so before hse desides to do that.. Gahh!!

Actually all of my Psalmos (irminia, cambridgei, pulcher and reduncus) are under the 3 inchi mark and they all burrow, also i have a 2nd instar H. maculata which of course burrows, so the only arboreal that acts arboreal for me is my Avicularia sp. amazonica. I can't wait for them to get bigger and act to their potential.
And congrats on the molt and feeding!

LOL maitre! She did the pokie pose for DAYS after her molt.. so maybe she wants to be when she grows up haha

Thanks! :D

My H. mac sling doesn't even burrow!! He made a tube web in his fake plants, but even then he is usually on the very edge of it or on top of the plants (even when he's not hunting).
