Hey all, since i am hopefully going to be purchasing 3 wind scorpions from a guy out west, i have prepared my enclosures and was wondering what you thought. Based on the "solifugids live longer than we think" thread i have replicated the set-up to a certain extent, i have good sized square deli-cups, and about half an inch of ground up walnut shells(i know, pretty simple), but the will have a light set-up for heat and i will feed weekly or biweekly. What do you guys think?

the ones I find have relatively shallow burrows, but in pretty hard soil, just thought I'd throw that out there...

Oh, are the ones you get short lived in captivity? Also, hows your solifugid project going?

I would NOT try to heat anything living in a deli cup, ESPECIALLY with a light. The potential to overheat and cooking the animal is almost certain.

Are they a native NA species?
