kids and Ts

I let my kids touch the Ts.

However I do have the Ts in the Pinch hold at the time and then let them pet the Ts abdomens.

My 6 year old touching Haplopelma sp Longipes?Minax, not pictured was my 3 year old son.

and of coarse me holding this T. I really don't like these ones too much and think they are rather boring:( , I need to sell them.

Not an expert by any means but that girl looks Minax to me, the Longipes I have is a lot more blacker in colour. Lovely Spidy though (and your a brave man to pinch grab that baby !!)

the t in the pic is definitely not a Minax. minax are close to solid pitch black.

the longipes you have, paulie, is probably some other form of Haplo, possibly the REAL minax, or maybe a sp vonwirthi/vietnam.

lookie at this thread:

longipes aren't black, but are a chocolate brown.. from what i've heard... but don't take my word on it, there are people here that know way more about this than i, and i hope they decide to chime in :)

Jury was kinda out over at Tarantula US on this one. Some peeps said that I had Minax but others swung to the Longipes side. Heres 2 not so great pics of her. Not wanting to hijack the thread but suggestions welcome. Cheers

i say it's either longipes or sp vietnam/vonwirthi.

and i'm leaning more towards vietnam/vonwirthi simply because it's an overall blue-ish black color.

S. calceatum is a doll as always. She loves it when my daughter sticks a few little fingers through her webbing and pets her.
