So what do you all think?? Pre-molt?? Pic.

Due to the color and it being dark?? Just some opinions. I know time will only tell and she hasn't eaten yet even though she is probably still a little stressed. Just got her this morning..

Hey Kris,

Good to hear she's settled in! I would like to place her last molt as sometime this summer. Dunno what you've been trying to feed but she's a bit picky...I raise lots of dubia and she only takes those when very hungry...otherwise its crickets. Just keep her warm and have water available and I'm sure she'll show sooner or later.

IME the carapace/abdomen seems to darken slightly prior to a molt. Maybe I'm just imagining it. Also it seems they do less hide maintenance.

I have noticed that completely. She ate 2 crickets yesterday and has been wondering around the tank trying to find that right spot to hide. She started to dig, then stopped and stayed there the rest of the day. Picky picky picky..

Haha that would be it...what I did is used several pieces of corkbark to make a kind of a tree hollow which I filled with coco chips or other loose substrate. She would remove this and make a hide similar to how they might in the wild. When a molt was coming she was just as likely to web up the area between the bark and the sides of the enclosure than to stay in the actual tree hole, though!

hey kris, i dont belive she is in premolt mainly because even with the flash her colors(mainly on her legs) would be more of a greyish blue.

also if se is a picky eater try B. lateralis. usually cricket loving Ts will nail them!

I don't like using roaches though. The roomates would kill me if I had em..

I think she is too. She is acting kind of sluggish. Just like my H. Mac, she hasn't molted yet and just sits there day in and day out..
