Well my rosea juvenile has finally broken her fast! My word has it been a long time since she's attempted to eat something.
To background it, I picked up this rosea in april having been not wanted by an owner and one leg down (i.e. mistreated). So I patiently sat out her premoult, she moulted and gained back a leg (although half size so far). And waited and waited. nearly two months post moult and she's finally decided she's hungry! YAY!
I was given a couple superworms because my housemate (who's a beardie keeper) had a couple going spare so I thought i'd try her on one as she's refused dubia (live and prekill) and crickets (live and prekill). Then - As only Rob could say - BAM! she went for it like a seasoned pro.
I'm quite pleased as a 7 month fast (although not record breaking) is still long enough for a slight sense of unease to creep in.
Anyway, I thought i'd let you guys in on my little success
