So long hobby, it was fun!

Well I am really getting out of the hobby this time. I have not grown tired of it at all, but with another baby on the way and such i have decided to get rid of all my arachnids (except for a couple). I tried getting rid of stuff locally, to little success, so plan on seeing a FS section of my stuff here pretty soon. I am selling the stuff to fuel my new hobby, crested geckos. But just thought i would fill everyone in. I am going to be packing everything up hopefully tommorrow if not sometime soon and posting a FS ad with some very cheap prices on stuff, so keep an eye out.

If there is anybody local to the Niles, MI area who is interested in purchasing all of it, i would be willing to give a hell of a deal so i don't have to ship (i hate shipping stuff), PM me.

YES! Well... not really lol. I have always liked them. Out of all reptiles, they seem to have relatively easy care, and they are small and come in all sorts of neat colors and such. Also they are fairly easy to breed so that is always a plus.

With another kid on the way, and a 14 month old who is overly curious, coupled with the fact that i am staying at the fiances parents now and i only have a small closet to keep everything in, i would just feel more comfortable keeping something that i dont always have to be overly paranoid about my kids getting into, or getting loose during rehousings/feedings/etc.

If i still had my house and i had my own locking room or larger area i could keep stuff in, it would be a different story. But i live in a house with small children and arachnophobs, so i think i am doing everyone a favor by making the switch.

I am going to keep a few of my prize specimens, one being my G. aueriostriata that i have had for years and kept through every single collection sale i have done. Anybody interested in my stuff that has contacted me, i will get back to you as soon as i can, i got a surprisingly large amount of PM's i have to sort through between here and myspace. I have one individual local who may be interested, if not, then i will start doing trades/sales/etc.

Hey Nate, sorry to hear you're getting rid of most of your spiders, but you're definitely doing it for the right reason: for your kids' safety Kudos to that!

Who knows? You might find yourself able to have a bigger collection later if you so choose once the kids are older and if you're into that sort of thing. Anyway, I wanted to tell you that you're still expected to show up in the WH!

Ahhh I was hoping to hijack you signature line. Congrats on the new one, and you'll be back. My little boy enjoys the hobby at 6 yrs old he is a hoot.

Having kept my fair share of all of the above, I can say with certainty, NO. lol

But its all subjective.
