and I picked up a few T's to round out my collection..... Breeding pair of C.Fasciatum,a MF A.Metallica, juvie L.Parahybana,a MF C.Fimbriatus,a MF P.Lugardi labeled as P.Murinus, and another smaller A.Metallica that was mislabeled as A.Avic.That thing was a steal, only $24....The amount of crickets here at my place has just tripled overnight, and I went from 6 T's to 14...I have been setting up enclosures for everyhting the past few days while I waited for the boards to pop back up,soo I could begin gathering more info..... But back on topic,I can not believe how great the Avic's look in the light. Gorgous T's to say the least.

I am loving that thing actually Teal.It is the only T I have that throws itself at the side of its enclosure and threatens to eat your face. VERY flighty T.....

None of mine are that bad lol
My MF was a lot worse than I first got her, because she hadn't been allowed to burrow... but she settled in nicely after she burrowed and now she's relatively docile. Last time I dealt with her for a cage change, I didn't get any threat displays and she only gave a half attempt at bolting before she became quite compliant.
My slings, on the other hand, are a huge pain in the butt because they are SO flighty and fast.
You should post pictures!

This thing literally flew around the enclosure. Its legs were moving so fast that it appeared to be hovering above the substrate. It has finally made a burrow,so pics of the P Lugardi are going to have to wait till tonight. I will try to snap a few of the other T's after I return from lunch with the wife( terrible cell phone pics).Mmmmm,Thai food....

That's what my slings do! You blink, and they are GONE lol My other female just molted, and I've only had her for a month.. so we'll see what she's like when she's ready to eat again!
I vote, picture of Thai food too! LOL

I've got an A.Avic too, mines only a spiderling though. I'm hoping it turns out to be as enjoyable as everyone says they are :)

You have no idea!!!!! {D  {D There's a reason why Avics are highly, HIGHLY recommended.

Congratts, BrerttG!!! I'd feel like a king too if I only paid that little for an Avic metallica of that size!!!!

Well, whats funny is the fact that I bought a MF with maybe a 6ish inch LS 3 days prior. Then we strolled into another LPS to get some supplies and whatnot, and I spotted the smaller A.Metallica.The guy at the LPS was scared to pull it out,so the wife and I did the deed, grabbed a couple other smaller items, and got the heck out.It appears female to me,and has maybe a 3.5 inch legspan.Great looking spider.Still stoked about this past weeks finds. And the fact that I have 2 LPS closeby that actually know what the heck they are doing.
