My G. Aureo spiderling actually ate!!! It took her nearly two months but she finally did it. I tried cricket after cricket after cricket, guess she's a fruitfly person uh... I mean spider?!

Yep, fruitflies did the trick. She may have felt intimidated by the crickets even though they were smaller than she was. Either that or she was tired of starving herself. If I am not mistaken, I believe I read somewhere where fruitflies are not that nutricious for Ts. I may have to start getting 1/8" crickets from online.

Any better ideas?

I remember the excitement when one of the wee little ones catches & eats its first meal......yes.....that is very exciting.

What I did when my chaco was t i n y was....... would actually place a small cricket body part (a bit more nutritious than just a leg) close to the spiderling & she would eat it when she found it.....a bit gross but I would take off the jumping legs & all but the first pair of legs & pinch the head a bit & this would make it move just a tiny bit as it seemed that the spiderling was afraid of lots of movement.
Eventually she did her normal thing & yes, that was very exciting!!! Makes one feel proud. :D

She actually molted once in the nearly two months I had her. She was about the size of a quarter. She is not about 1.5 inches.
