What are you feeding atm? You'll be amazed at how this wonderful Genus attacks and eats prey almost double its size with gusto!I was just trying to take pics since my T was in a cool place in enclosure, I was also playing with my phone camera and I got an amazing fang pic! He/she is a C. Elegans sling. I’ve had her/him for about 3 weeks. Coolest and first T I’ve ever owned. View attachment 357226 View attachment 357227
She is almost 1/4" still kind of hard to tell. I haven't settled on a name yet but right now I'm liking Bernadette. It being intimidating is one reason I started here. I figured smaller would be easier than bigger for many reasons. Space mainly and I also had to ease my hubby and youngest son into even having one at all. They do NOT like spiders. My hubby is starting to find her really cool my son just stays away and I don't force him into any involvement with her. He will get unsatisfied on his own. That will be when I teach him about her....because honestly they are so freaking cool! I never saw myself having a T but could NOT resist after months of YouTube videos, The Dark Den, Tarsntula May and The Tarantula Collective. It's all their fault LMBO!!I see you've officially caught the addiction. They really are amazing creatures. I'm still just as fascinated with them today as when I got my first tarantula. I guarantee you'll end up with more soon! How big is your sling? I've always thought that some of the dwarf species are really beautiful, but that it would be intimidating to deal with such tiny babies. I'd be terrified of killing it by accident! Does it have a name?
Right now just fruit flies but HATE them. Any suggestions? I'm up for any new things I can learn.. I never knew how interesting they really are. I could watch her all day if she didn't like to hide and blend in so much. LOL. Can't wait for first molt! What are you feeding atm? That's awesome. I love both of those species. I wouldn't hate just owning all dwarf T's honestly. If I get anymore which seems inevitable that be just what I do! There are some really cool big ones thoughJust ordered (2) Cyriocosmus giganteus I'm soooo looking forward to!
Been wanting these for a while!
Join my Cyriocosmus leetzi girl as far as Cyriocosmus go in my collection![]()
Thanks!! That heart booty is great right!?? Brachys are amazing!Congratulations on entering the hobby! C. elegans especially, unlike kittens, stay cute-looking when they grow up. Their behaviors are amusing too. I think these are some of the nicest looking dwarfs, like a miniature version of B. emilia with an added heart on the tail!
Definitely could take a cricket leg (or other piece of cricket) or a little piece of mealworm. Easier then fruit flies and more nutritional too!She is almost 1/4" still kind of hard to tell.
