snapping turtle heating lamp. red or white

I have got a snapping turtle about 2in in length would a red heat lamp effect the snapping turtles eyes. I have a white light but it is a bit bright. I also have the UVB light but it doesnt give off much heat.I have the timers set right for wen the heat lamp is on the uvb is off and visversa.Any info will be helpful and thankyou.

The zoo med ceramic heat lamp doesn't produce any light. i have that in my leopard geckos.

Why would you heat it?
