Snake Not Shedding?

Hmm, well I did a quick search and couldn't find anything on this. About a week and a half ago my little corn snake became incredibly pale, her eyes got milky, and showed all the signs of pre-shed. Since then she has regained her color and hasn't shed. She has shed before in my care, but I don't think it has ever taken this long. In fact she ate today. Is this normal, AKA I need to be more patient with the wait? LOL Or does "pre-shed" last longer the older they get, like tarantulas? Do they ever not shed after showing all the signs for the duration of one day? I hope I haven't rambled, I'm just perplexed by this. :/

My kings do this often, and yes the bigger they get the longer it takes. Just be patient. Also I have a water bowl big enough for them to soak in.

I think my water bowl is big enough for her to soak in if she took the fancy, but I've never seen her show any interest in it. When I first got her and she was exploring she'd occasionally crawl in/over it, but she never stopped to relax, haha. The other times she's shed I've put a wad of moist paper towels in her favorite hide and that has provided enough humidity for the shed to come off alright. And thanks Big B. Good information, you answered my question perfectly. I'll be patient. :)

Thanks! Pictures don't seem to quite do her full justice though. :)

Very beautiful snake, a friend of mine has a ghost corn morph that just shed a few weeks ago and looks fantastic (to steal a word from the ninth doctor)!

I bet it does! I love it when snakes shed. :) They look so bright and fresh.

I'm probably a tad (just a bit, haha) biased since she's my first and only snake but maybe you should. ;) They do come in gorgeous variations, and she's a very sweet snake.
