Hey folks, I found some snails (at least 3, I didn’t look that hard) in my “Soil Display”… Basically just a hodgepodge that was seeded with the soil that came from a millipede order. When the lights are out, it’s fun to see what’s lurking with a flashlight. I’ve been finding new critters every now and then.
The inhabitants mostly consist of a few millipedes (a couple bumblebees/scarlets and a random smaller species), some isopods (just saw what looked like A. nasatum “peach”), predatory mites, springtails, terrestrial amphipods, earthworms, maybe a centipede (haven’t seen it in a while), I guess some small spiders…
I live in So. Cal, millipedes came from Florida, mosses came from WV. I’ve seen similar looking snails outside, but the local ones are darker in color
