I'm currently keeping Ambystoma texanum and was wondering if there was any tips for the care. I'm housing it in a 5.5 gallon tank with deep soil and it is fall here so I think it is getting into hibernation mode. anyway um I was just wondering if there was or is any care tips also do they need a water dish? PS: I will post pictures later. My cousin gave him to me.

Gotta like this Species of Mole Salamander which is most often subterranean by nature.
Diet includes insects, slugs, and earthworms.
Considered to be nocturnal, can reach a length up to 7 inches or 18 cm, males usually smaller than females.
Females lay their eggs in the spring, and can produce up to 700 eggs dispersed in small clumps of 30 or so per clump.
