Does anyone know what the smallest species of feeder roach is? I need something that will feed baby Brachypelma smithi. I'm thinking either baby lateralis or lobster roaches.

Phoetalia pallida nymphs are the size of a match head, and are perfect for this purpose...:)

Baby lateralis are pretty tiny and soft, they're comparable to pinhead crickets in size. They're pretty fast and so soft that they're very easy to squish so i usually refrigerate them for about five minutes to make things easier for me and the sling both.

I second lateralis nymphs; I feed them to my slings and they are perfect, plus they don't climb acrylic/glass (lobster roach nymphs sure do).

I've raised a few brachy species from 2nd instar on baby dubia. Lateralis also work well.

Personally I love using lobster babies as my sling feeders. They are small enough for any sling to take down, and they are much less fragile than the lateralis nymphs. They will climb glass/plastic though so make sure they can't get through the air holes. I've been keeping 40+ slings going on just lobster nymphs for 4 months and counting.

For tiny slings or tiny scorps I have used either B. lateralis or even tinier baby Pseudomops septentrionalis. I suppose you could also use baby Panchlora nivea, though they might burrow too quickly into the substrate and/or be too difficult to get out of the culture bin.

Yah but they don't breed as easy as the lateralis really. I get mine to breed but not like crazy. Now my dominoe colony is another story...I have a bunch of them. can't wait till they get a little bigger....they grow so darn slow.
