Fairly new T keeper here! Just wanted to share a spider of mine and get aquainted with the arachnoboards ^^
(Apologies for the poor image quality in this, my phone doesn't focus on small things very well. That's a water bottle cap on the left for scale)
This little darling is my Grammostola quirogai sling with her latest meal! (I say 'she' optimistically and for ease of conversation, she is of course too young to tell. Fingers crossed!) Her burrow's under that cork bark chunk, the dip above that is a furrow for watering the coco fiber. She's my first sling that I've had for a few months. She's molted once under my care, shedding most of her old brown color, and while sling care guides warned me they'd have poor feeding responses and would most likely need to scavenge-feed she's actually been an impressive little hunter! (I've been careful not to give her any prey that could hurt her, the mealworm in the picture is probably the biggest meal she's had yet and i checked that it was small and weak before dropping it in. I feed her mealworms/chunks of them whenever she's accepting, but never forced meals on her and stopped for the week after she molted and all that)
Also it surprised me how much she grew from that one molt! Put on some decent size and darkened a ton. This is how she looked whenI bought her from an expo in August:
I realize this whole thing's probably unremarkable to most people on here but as a first-time sling owner and being new to the T-keeping hobby overall it's been quite rewarding so far! so I just wanted to share (and double check I've not been doing anything wrong, being new to this)
