My Aphonopelma chalcodes was "sitting" on her butt with two feet on the ground and everything else balanced against the glass. She stayed in that pose for about two hours. She didn't even move when the kids came in to giggle at her "spider yoga" antics. Do alot of Ts do this or did I just get the mutant species confused one?

It is normal. My B. boehmei does it quite often. Besides him, I have G. rosea, B. smithi, C. fasciatum and several small s'lings that do this. There is nothing to worry about. Enjoy the entertainment.

Almost all mine do it.

Almost all my Ts do it. Its kind of freaky when I walk in my animal room and see 20 or so (Of diffrent sizes.) Ts sitting like that. Makes me think they plan a mass break out and thier waiting for the jailer to do his check.

Now that would be a sight to see. That thought alone would probably make my husband move out of the house.

To funny.

That's to funny Wicked. I'm lucky my girl-friend loves the Ts as much as me.

Nerri1029 I wouldn't say the same direction but they were all facing the center of the room. That's what made me think about that. I think it's because I have a space heater in the center of the room and its warmest there. You know kind of warming up type thing. Freaky none the less.

i woke up in the middle of the night to find that once...

have fun going back to sleep!

i dunno whats creepier.. when they all sit on the glass at the same time.. or when they all molt at the same time and look like a little 8 legged epileptic cult.

I have a picture in mind: inmates behind bars all chanting "we want out, we want out..."

Seriously, a lot of mine also do that. Is your room is like mine, with a warmer center?

The heat in the room seems to be evenly distributed, the vents are near the corners of one wall. I have tanks on both sides of the room and the guages read the same 75* in the daytime. <yes, I said tanks, I broke down and got more Ts. Didn't even make it two full weeks between the first one and the next order. What was that people were saying about an addiction? The new shelf I bought for my artbooks has been taken over>

If I could figure out all the cool options in my paint shop pro program I would put a little cardboard sign between her feet "will work for crickets"
