I can’t find out anything about keeping silverfish but id like to try it. I saw somewhere that some people keep them in glass jars. Is it safe to keep them in jar and if so, how big do the jars Need to be? i Saw on a post by another member that you can feed them dust, fish flakes and dog food but is there a diet for them that is preferred?

Thank you

A glass jar is ok because they can't climb smooth surfaces. Is it safe? only if you don't break it...
I don't know where you read that you can feed silverfish with dust. While true, it would make keeping them a tedious project. You feed them with paper (they are especially fond of recycled paper), and you supplement with fish food and protein pellets.

You should also feed them glue and sugar. You can use a plastic container. Cut a hole in the middle and tape cheese cloth to the lid

Where did you find your silverfish? I lost mine, and am having trouble finding a new one.
