I was reading another thread and there was mention of silk plants in an arboreal setup as being a bad idea. I just set up a great silk plant playground for my Avic. avic and used silk plants. Has anyone used silk and found it ok. what are disadvantages, and advantages? I would hate to have to rip the new haouse apart. considering I hot glued everything in!:?

The only real downside to silk plants is the Ts can sometimes get their tarsal claws caught in the fabric (and if you keep things too moist they can always mildew but let's not go there). Although uglier, if you insist on fake plants, plastic is a better choice.
Something like an Avic will probably just web it all up anyhow and render the differences moot.
