The first signs of Spring have been showing up over the last two weeks. We have dozens of Hummingbirds buzzing the feeders. They start comming around by mid-morning and keep returning until almost dark. :)

Ahhhhh spring. I saw a pair of redtail hawks mating on a telephone pole yesterday, but of course no camera! I'm making it my mission to photograph a hummingbird in her nest this year. I always find the nest after they have been abandoned. The only one I have spotted in a nest just so happened to be about 20 feet in the air. I barely spotted her beak as she turned to stare at me. She was completely inaccesible. I will not give up!

GQ, If you want to get some photos of Hummers this is the best trick that I have ever found. Find a large patch of blackberry bushes in a area that isn't prone to to much disturbances. Wait for a hazy overcast day and keep a eye on the highest branches. When they sit up there they turn their heads to look around, the patch on their throats show up like a neon sign. Hope you can get a shot to post..
