So my rat stopped sneezing so much. Hardly ever sneezes any more. But now she is having diareha. Why is this?

We are not magical internet veterinarians who can tell you why your pet is sick without even seeing them. Please go to a vet immediately.
There is really no reason to be a smart mouth. I figured that someone with experience with a similar problem might be able to HELP me. I am planning on making a vet appointment but I figured I would post this in case some one has experience with this and could possibly shed some light on the subject-But thank you for "attempting" to help.

Now if I could possibly get some other opinions?

The fact that you're asking for opinions on why your pet is having medical problems - opinions from people who cannot even see your pet, much less run tests on it or examine it in person - quite frankly shocks me.

Much like the other thread where you suddenly announced that you believed your rat wouldn't live much longer because she was sneezing (without even having seen a vet yet), medical issues do not work that way.

The internet can point out flaws in your pet husbandry, but it is not a vet.

you had noted in a previous thread asking if fruits and vegtables were good as a base diet I dont know if that is all you have been feeding your rat but doing such may result in a loose stool That is however just a possibility without examination of the animal it is only an educated guess I would have to agree with spore in the suggestion of making a vet appointment as soon as possible

There are a number of things that could cause diarreah in a rat. Here is a short list: Excess of fruits, vegtables, sugars; ingestion of chlorine; rat poison; brake fluid; oil; transmission fluid; glue; spoiled fats; rotten meat; rotten soy; rotten bread; spoiled fruits and vegtables; ingested string/cloth/leather, cleaning products, soap, lye, Drain-o, Pine-Sol; ingested wild mushrooms, mold; ingested poisoned beetles, cockroaches, crickets, and/or houseflies...

In short, this could be many things. Without a physical examination, and with only a single sentance discription, even the most learned of us won't be able to even BEGIN to offer advice.

If you are concerned, see a vet.

j.everson,
Have you been feeding large ammounts of fruits and veggies as one of your previous inquirys suggests?
If so there is your problem. Contact a Purina Dealer and order some Mazuri Rodent Blocks and save the fresh fruits and veggies as treats.

yeah their #1 food should be rat blocks, i supplement that with all kinds of things for fun and variety. but like everyone says too much fruit etc can make them get the squirts. i've never had a rat do that so i dunno what else it could be.
