Two of our American Toads (Bufo americanus) have come down with some sort of respiratory disease. Their breathing is labored and there is mucus around their nostrils.
These toads have been kept at room temps (68-75F) for 6+ months on damp eco-earth, with hides and a water dish. They are fed mainly mealworms raised on a diet of baby rice cereal/oatmeal/flaxseed meal/wheat bran/ whatever.
I've isolated these toads from the other 2, cleaned out the tank and disinfected with H2O2 and iso-alc. New substrate added.
Anyone seen this sort of thing with amphibians?
Thanks
